Since 1913, The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation has worked to improve the lives of people suffering from diseases, deformities and injuries of the spine and limbs. These efforts take form in patient care, research, and teaching on a daily basis. As we move into the 2nd Century, we will continue to achieve excellence and will improve upon our traditions. The 2nd Century Campaign, a mechanism of continuing private support of the Department, will be one mechanism of insuring our continued advances in human mobility and improving human life.

As we celebrate 100 years of our collective history, we have begun to collect a video archive of those who have contributed to the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation over the last century. The final video was presented at the 2nd Century Campaign celebration this fall in Iowa City, IA. The archive will be retained by the Department for historical purposes in our library. The short video above represents a sample of this important project.
